Medieval forge:

It is by practicing that you become a blacksmith and it is not the blacksmith Nouri Fadli who will tell you the opposite. You will be able to attend blacksmithing demonstrations and even learn about its techniques, for free participation, by taking your creation home.

Wool work:

Does sheep's wool intrigue you? How was it used? How was she treated? What tools are used to transform it? Fleece cleaning, combing, spindle spinning testing, comb weaving or even cards are on the program for this activity, which takes you to the 13th and 14th centuries.

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: History of fibers and spinning (small game to recognize plant and animal fibers + spinning demonstration).

1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.: Plant dyeing (history of plants, presentation of plants/colors and dyeing of wool).

3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.: Weaving (presentation of the different professions and mini-initiation).

Medicine, surgery and the stomach:

Science and medicine: Who were these doctors, how and by whom were they trained? How was care taken? With what substances? Have the remedies and methods changed today? The surgeon was not a man of science, but rather a butcher or even a barber! What are the tools to butcher your patients?

When baby shows up: Many people surround the future mother but childbirth is a women's business and men are excluded. We give birth at home, in a room prepared, even decorated for the occasion. The midwife or midwife accompanies the delivery. We also decorate the room.

Medieval music:

Les Ménétriers brings together four musicians, all active in the musical field for more than twenty years, who perform a historical repertoire drawing its sources from numerous manuscripts and ancient works from the 13th to the 16th centuries. They perform the selected musical pieces using instruments such as bagpipes, hurdy-gurdies, flutes and tambourine, etc.

The art of fencing:

Visitors will be able to discover the weapons used such as swords, rapiers, canes, sabers, daggers, etc.
The evolution of bladed weapon combat techniques from the Middle Ages to the 18th century. The different protocol salutes…

Baroque music:

This is already the ninth year that Madame de… and Maestro Lambert have performed at the Château de La Roche-en-Ardenne in the salon of Madame de… to the delight of your eyes and ears. They invite you to come and discover baroque music (harpsichord and singing), light tunes, drinking and dancing, which were played during wild evenings in the time of Louis XIV (17th century).

Archery:
